As you know, the Sailboat/Trees sculpture by George Ramsay in Covell Park was temporarily removed at the end May. Upon removing the sculpture, we discovered multiple anchor bolts securing the sculpture were rusted. No amount of lubrication or heat was able to loosen or remove them so unfortunately three of the bolts had to be cut. Because of this, we are facing unexpected expenses. The ACWL-Nuveen is excited to be offering a special workshop – Exploring Book Forms, Variations on the Concertina Fold – August 27 – 28. The workshop will be led by talented artist and educator Honore Lee. Honore, who is based in Grand Haven, will bring her vast experience as a handmade bookmaker, printmaker and mixed media artist to the class. Married Artist Members Ferrel and Lois Cordle share a home they built together on Crystal Lake but find their own unique expression in their separate studios. In late April, we welcomed Morgan Liskey as our Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator.
