Seeing the World One Drawing at a Time - the Art of Urban Sketchers Exhibition Opens September 16

Our next exhibit will feature the diverse artwork of Michigan Urban Sketchers. Urban Sketchers is a global community of individuals dedicated to the practice of on-location drawing whether that be the interior of a café or a view of a downtown street. There are 120,000 Urban Sketcher members in 60 countries! Are you a member of an Urban Sketcher group in Michigan, either Ann Arbor, West Michigan, or Detroit? We'd love to display your work. Not currently a member of a Michigan-based Urban Sketcher group but you want to prepare some work for the show? Join the Urban Sketchers West Michigan Facebook group and take part in one of their upcoming meetings, it is free to participate.

If you are a member of a Michigan Urban Sketchers group and would like to participate in this exhibition, please read the guidelines here. Artwork needs to be dropped off at the ACWL-Nuveen by Saturday, September 10.

This exhibition will be on display from September 16 through October 28, with a public reception on Friday, October 7 from 5:00-7:00pm. You are also welcome to join the Urban Sketchers West Michigan group for a Community Sketchwalk on Saturday, October 29 beginning at 11:00am.
