Get Creative at the Maritime Festival with ACWL-Nuveen & White Lake Community Library

The White Lake Area Chamber is bringing back the much-loved Maritime Festival this August 6-8, and we are excited to take part!

The Arts Council of White Lake - Nuveen Center and the White Lake Community Library will be providing two creative activities for kids on Saturday, August 8 from 11:00am - 3:00pm at the Montague Artisan Market. The library will be hosting a Raingutter Regatta, where kids will be able to make a sailboat using recycled scraps and then send it sailing down a rain gutter track. The ACWL-Nuveen will have a hand-painted maritime-themed backdrop, created by artist Kanda Parrott, and materials for kids to create their own water-themed creatures, boats, or other objects to place within the backdrop. Both events will be free for all participants and are sure to be a lot of fun. We hope to see you there!
