The Nuveen Theatre Workshop is producing THE RAINBOW FISH MUSICAL on October 18 at 7:00 p.m. and October 19 at 2:00 p.m. at The Playhouse at White Lake, 304 N. Mears in Whitehall. Several elementary school children from the White Lake Area will be playing a variety of delightful and colorful sea creatures to bring this story to life on the stage.
Rainbow Fish is the most beautiful fish in all the ocean and is admired by a charming variety of sea creatures. When Rainbow Fish refuses to share her vibrant shimmering scales, the whole ocean seems to turn against her. Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise octopus who helps the young fish learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful. The beloved children’s story by Marcus Pfister is enriched with music and lyrics by Austin Zumbro.
The White Lake Lothmann Family Fund of the CFMC is providing FREE TICKETS for any child 13 and under as long as they are accompanied by at least one paying adult. Purchase your adult tickets and pick up your FREE TICKETS for children at the Arts Council of White Lake-Nuveen Center at 106 E. Colby Street in Whitehall prior to the days of performance. ACWL-Nuveen hours are Tuesday through Friday (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and Saturday (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). Tickets for adults are $7, and students 14 and older are $5. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on performance days.
