Last month, the Arts Council of White Lake - Nuveen Center threw a Birthday Bash to celebrate 40 years of serving the White Lake community. Held on Friday, May 15 at the Playhouse at White Lake, the event featured live music, a silent auction, toasts from community members, and birthday cake! With over 150 people in attendance, it was an evening full of fun, laughter, and community.
Thank you to EVERYONE who made this event possible:
Our sponsors: Consumers Energy, Snowy Sips Pub Craw, and Tom & Liz Traszka.
Our fundraising committee: Chair, Alice Gambel and all of the volunteers for the hours of planning and coordination. Members include: Jane Hanna, Lynn Cotter, Cindy Peterson, Joni Christensen, Colleen Serkaian and MaryAnn Correll.
Our musicians: E&C Cabaret, The F.A.N. Club and Eric & Karen Smith,
Those who gave toasts: Cathy Mott, Erin Peyer, and Aili Casano
Our master of ceremonies: Kevin Reome.
Montague Foods Bakery, especially Shawna, for making three delicious and beautiful cakes
Thanks also to the ACWL-Nuveen board and community members who donated an experience or item for the silent auction, purchased tickets (even those who couldn't attend!), bid on silent auction items, or dropped cash in our birthday bash gift box.
You ALL made a difference. In total, the ACWL-Nuveen brought in just over $17,000! You will be pleased to know that the funds raised go right back into the community as we use the money to support our mission of providing accessible arts opportunities throughout the White Lake area and beyond.
Thank you and cheers to 40 more years of creativity in White Lake!
P.S. If you completely missed the party but still want to celebrate our 40th Birthday, please check out our Birthday Gift List!
