Good news – if you haven’t been in to see our first exhibit of 2026 – Grand Gestures II – you still have time! We had planned our reception for the show in January but due to extreme cold and snowy weather we moved the date to Saturday, February 28th, the last day of the exhibit. We hope that you stop by the ACWL-Nuveen from 1:00 - 3:00pm on the 28th and say hello to the artists and find out more about their artwork. The artists participating in the show are: Tatsuki Hakoyama, Grand Rapids-based artist and instructor at Kendall College of Art & Design (KCAD) and four of his students, Drew Dougherty, Philip Martin-Luckhurst, Sarah Kramer, and Sophie Zichterman. Showing alongside the KCAD students is KCAD alumni Hallie LeBlanc with assistance from her daughter Katherine LeBlanc, Montague artist, Christopher Jones, Muskegon Community College student Aili Casano and two advanced art students from Reeths-Puffer High School – Hailee Le Roux and Alexis Gillihan.
As always, our receptions are FREE and open to everyone and we serve snacks! A fun
feature for this reception on February 28th is that coffee-making extraordinaire, Sassy Cat Coffee, will be parking their mobile coffee unit in front of the ACWL-Nuveen – 106 E. Colby Street! Call us if you have any questions – 231-893-2524 – otherwise we will see you soon!
