Dear Community - do you have gently used or even new art supplies taking up space in your home that are no longer “sparking joy” in your world? Please consider dropping them off at the ACWL-Nuveen for our Art Supply Rummage Sale extravaganza taking place on Saturday, June 20 from 9:00am – 3:00pm. The sale will feature some great finds including paints, fabrics, beads, ribbons, books, yarn, markers, paper and lots more. We have some really cool materials just waiting for a creative transformation!
The sale is being coordinated by ACWL-Nuveen’s Inclusivity – Diversity – Equity – Accessibility Committee or I.D.E.A. The committee thought the art supply rummage sale would be a great way to bring people to the ACWL-Nuveen to support our scholarship program which is available for students of all ages. The scholarships allow us to offer our more expensive classes on a “pay what you can” scale making educational opportunities more accessible for all of our community members.
We will be taking new and gently used art supplies at the ACWL-Nuveen June 9 – 13 during business hours: Tuesday – Friday 11:00am – 5:30pm and Saturday 11:00am – 3:00pm. Then on Saturday, June 20 starting at 9:00am and running until 3:00pm, we will have the supplies organized and on display in our classroom and the back courtyard. Also note to serious yard sale shoppers – we scheduled our Art Supply Rummage Sale to coordinate with Whitehall’s Community-Wide Garage Sale so make sure to put us on your list for some great finds!
For questions or inquires please call 231-893-2524, email nuveen@artswhitelake.org, or stop by 106 E. Colby Street, downtown Whitehall.
