ACWL-Nuveen Welcomes Ian Martin as Marketing & Events Coordinator

We have a new team member! Ian Martin has joined ACWL-Nuveen as the Marketing & Events Coordinator. Ian moved to Whitehall to be with his partner Ann--who grew up in Montague and recently moved back to the area--and he’s loved spending time walking the Hart-Montague trail, relaxing on the beach, and perusing books at the library. He’s enjoyed getting to know folks involved in the arts scene here, especially the staff and volunteers who make the ACWL-Nuveen run.

Ian has always been drawn to creativity and education. He has worked as the Training Program Manger for Braintree-PayPal, as a trainer at Apple Retail, and as an English teacher in Valencia, Spain. Ian’s artistic background is in writing and filmmaking. He ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for the feature film, “Cooke Concrete”, which he wrote and directed. He also made the short film, “The European Kid”, which screened at SXSW. Ian’s short story, “The Devanes”, was published in Open City Magazine and he has been the recipient of a Yaddo fellowship.

Ian is thrilled to be joining ACWL-Nuveen which combines his passions for education and creativity. He looks forward to highlighting the artists, educators, patrons, and volunteers who are central to ACWL-Nuveen. Ian is also excited to contribute to ACWL-Nuveen’s goal of making the arts an accessible and important part of the community.
