2023 Summer Concerts: July Artist Preview

Summer is in full swing and that means some of the best musicians around Michigan are performing at the Montague-Whitehall Rotary Band Shell as part of our 37th season of free summer concerts. We hope you'll join us Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm through August 15! Here's a peek at some of July's artists:

July 11: Full Cord, sponsored by Montague-Whitehall Rotary Club. Winners of the 2022 Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition and named Momentum Award Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. Check out this video for "Downtown" off their most recent album.

July 18: Magic Bus, sponsored by HarborLight Credit Union and Stan & Jan Gorecki. The late sixties, psychedelic music, peace and love. Do you remember the Woodstock era? Magic Bus does! This band always draws a crowd so get to the show early to stake out your preferred seat.

July 25: Jordan Hamilton Trio sponsored by Scott Geiger, Edward Jones. Cellist and vocalist Jordan Hamilton is a mix of mastery and maverick musicality; hip-hop influenced, rhythmically layered, and melodically robust. Check out this incredible set to get a feel for their unique sound:

Thank you to our individual sponsors and especially our series sponsors, Carmichael's Heating & Air-Conditioning, CatchMark Technologies, Viola Bray Charitable Trust, and the Michael James family for making the 2023 season possible. Visit our website to learn more about the roster of talented Michigan musicians and listen to our Spotify playlist featuring this year's artists. Also fridge magnet schedules are in! Pick yours up today at the ACWL-Nuveen, the Chamber of Commerce and your favorite brew pub!
