The estimates are in! We had approximately 350+ visitors stroll through the Made in Michigan Market at the ACWL-Nuveen on November 21 between the hours of 2:00pm – 8:00pm. The weather cooperated with us this year to help promote the great turnout and steady stream of shoppers all day.
As you may know the Made in Michigan Market has been an opportunity for non-Artist Members to sell their work in our retail gallery. This year we selected six artists to put up a table and sell their handcrafted items. We also wanted to put a spotlight on our own Artist Members this year by putting together an under $40 gift table. Many of you came in with some great items to sell – we thank you – and felt it was a big success and worth continuing next year! Also new at the Market were live Artist Member demonstrations. Cara O’Brien and Suzanne Moynihan kicked things off this year giving demos on making ceramic and glass ornaments. Visitors got to watch and interact with both of these talented artists and buy their work.
Always a crowd pleaser was Director Erin Peyer at the piano taking requests and playing for tips with proceeds going to the ACWL-Nuveen. This year she had an impromptu guest, ACWL-Nuveen Board member Chris Jones singing along to entertain the crowd. There are rumors that they are getting together a lounge act!
Also helping to get the White Lake community in the spirit during the Holiday Walk a group of roving carolers from Whitehall High School visited the ACWL-Nuveen and impressed all in attendance – check out their performance below.
With 2025 Made in Michigan Market behind us we start to think of the market in November 2026 – we hope you will put it on your calendar. Please reach out if you would like to be one of our demonstrating artists next year. And start thinking of some special items for the $40 and under gift table!
Cheers and best wishes for 2026!
