About the Exhibit
Two years ago, the Arts Council of White Lake-Nuveen Center hosted an exhibition featuring artwork from Michigan-based Urban Sketchers groups. The excitement of the Urban Sketchers movement and fellowship created by the exhibit spurred a more ambitious idea: to host a GLOBAL Urban Sketchers exhibit and invite Urban Sketchers from around the world to participate. With a lot of help from ACWL-Nuveen Artist Member and Instructor, Mary Jo Ernst - who is also a North American Regional Team Leader and Membership Committee member for Urban Sketchers - we are excited to present Wish You Were Here: Urban Sketchers Global Exhibition.

​​The artwork is postcard size - 4" x 6" - and most pieces will be for sale for $30. The majority of the proceeds will go to the artist, with a percentage going to the ACWL-Nuveen and Urban Sketchers Global. Artwork can be purchased at the ACWL-Nuveen Gallery at any point during the show, but patrons won't be able to take the work home with them until after the show closes on November 2, 2024. ACWL-Nuveen will also ship purchased postcards for an extra fee.
