Amelia 1.JPG

Amelia Anderson is the inaugural Director of the Bennet Prize & Curator of Women’s Art at the Muskegon Museum of Art. With a rich and diverse background, Amelia has worked in museums, historic houses, and has a deep passion for art history. She holds a B.A. from Lawrence University and an M.A. from the University of Oregon, where her thesis explored the inspiring stories behind Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir Edward Burne-Jones’s decorative pianos. Amelia’s journey has included impactful roles at the Richard H. Driehaus Museum in Chicago, where she contributed to the groundbreaking “A Tale of Today” exhibition featuring works by Yinka Shonibare, and most recently, at the EAA Aviation Museum, where she enhanced visitor experiences and lead efforts toward AAM re-accreditation.
