About the event

Get ready to think small and explore the topic of insects! We will make art, songs, and read stories to get us thinking more about our tiny friends. Parents are welcome to stay in the art room or gallery. We encourage you to consider what will help your child be the most independent, comfortable, and creative!

About the Instructor:

Chelsea Kirksey has been teaching community based art classes for six years. In 2014 she earned a BFA in Art Education with a specialization in sculpture from MSU. She enjoys sharing her love of art with others and seeing their passion and creations.

COVID-19 Considerations:

Class size is limited to 6 students. Each student will get their own table which will be 6 ft from the neighboring tables. Students will have their own set of supplies that will be sanitized before class. Students should wear masks, use the provided hand sanitizer, and abide by social distancing mandates.

ACWL-Nuveen classes are supported in part by grants from the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nuveen Benevolent Trust.
