Watercolor: Expect the Unexpected
John Herron will show you how to find the beauty in watercolor's unpredictability. Ages 16+

Time & Location
Nov 11, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Arts Council of White Lake-Nuveen Center, 106 E Colby St, Whitehall, MI 49461, USA
About the Event
Many artists accuse watercolor of being a difficult medium to grasp. Yes, it can be temperamental and unpredictable but that’s the beauty of it. In John Herron's next workshop he’ll show you how to cut a deal with watercolor; you control half of the process and it controls the balance. It’s a win-win for you. The paint and water deliver exciting twists and turns, creating unusual shapes and textures and you come away looking like you were in full control. And you have nothing but fun in the process.
You will paint three or four of the loosest, most unexpected paintings you have ever done. John will demo it all, so no need to be afraid. All supplies are included.
Class minimum: 4
Class maximum: 8
About the Instructor:
John lives in suburban Chicago and teaches watercolor painting at the Evanston Art Center. He studied at the American Academy of Art and the Art institute of Chicago.
