About the event

Gain a deeper understanding of how to mix colors and how color behaves in a painting. In this fast, fun class we will create color mixtures from a basic palette and use them to create both a journal page and an abstract painting. Students will leave with practical information and an original artwork. This class is suitable for all experience levels, and the information applies to all paint media- acrylic, oil and watercolor.

About the Instructor:

Laurel Geis has lived in the White Lake area for 28 years. She taught Art in public schools for 30 years before retiring. She is an active artist, working primarily in painting and drawing, and her work has been widely exhibited in sites like the Muskegon Museum of Art and the White River Gallery. Her work frequently includes landscape or environmental themes.
