About the event
Students will use soft clay slabs to create unique vase forms by wrapping their slabs around various sized mold templates. Prior to wrapping their vase form the instructor will show students how to create unique patterns and textures on their slabs by using organic items like leaves, shells, twigs and other found objects. The students will finish their work by applying colored slips and glazes. The clay pieces created by each student will be fired in a kiln after class. Students will be notified when their finished pieces are ready for pick-up!
