About the event

Do you love to create free form flowing images? Learn how to create your own cool patterns by floating vibrant colored inks in water to create marbled paper. The technique of paper marbling has been practiced for centuries by artisans around the world. Marbled paper is often used for book covers, stationary, as a background for calligraphy, and in art collage. In this class, instructor Lori Coleman will teach students different marbling techniques that they will use to create several unique sheets of paper. On the second day of class the students will use their colorful dried marbled papers to create expressive art collages.

Class minimum: 4

Class maximum: 10

About the Instructor:

Lori Coleman is a Montague resident, an artist and advocate for a healthy and sustainable planet. Creating art inspired by nature helps her express her deep love and appreciation of the natural surroundings. She has been drawing and painting since childhood. She creates work in acrylics and watercolor, shifting between abstract and realism.
