About the event
Enjoy a morning with your family/household at the ACWL-Nuveen! Instructor Casey Bemis will show you how to create a one-of-a-kind tie-dye t-shirt using high quality dyes.Â
Class registration is $5/person. Be sure to fill out the registration form for each person and indicate what size t-shirt you will each need. To guarantee we have a shirt of the correct size, please register by June 19.
Casey Bemis is a multi-tasking artist that loves to share all kinds of art-related stuff with students. A graduate from Chicago Art Institute, Casey runs a studio just south of Whitehall year round, painting, drawing and even quilting. Color and texture are key components to her body of work as is observing nature in its abstract form.Â
COVID-19 Considerations:
Classes will be held outdoors - weather permitting - under a tent with 6 feet between tables. Each family will get their own table. If class has to be held inside, we will still ensure tables are spaced 6 feet apart. Class capacity will be limited to 8-10 students. Each family will have their own set of supplies that will be sanitized before class. Students should wear masks and abide by social distancing mandates.Â
* Please note that we are limiting capacity to 2-3 families and/or 8-10 people. Â If you want to register 5 people but there are only 4 slots left, go ahead and register for the 4 spots availalable. Then, email Erin at nuveen@artswhitelake.org and she will make sure everyone in your family can attend.
Summer Art Camps are supported by an anonymous donor and grants from the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
