Summer Art Camp: Handcrafted Artist Books
In this 3-day summer art camp, students will learn about artist books or 'zines' and create their own! 1:30 - 3:00pm, July 6-8, ages 12-18

About the event
Students will learn about artist books also known as zines. Discover the history of these books as both a creative outlet and resources for information. After some instruction, students will create their own zines using a mixture of materials.

About the Instructor:
Lillie Sheridan is a student at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts studying Art Education and Community Art. Since the age of fifteen, she has spent summers working with kids and helping them grow and express themselves. Lillie currently work at Islands of Brilliance, a non-profit organization in Milwaukee that provides art classes and a safe space for children and young adults on the Autism Spectrum.
COVID-19 Considerations:
Class size is limited to 6 students. Each student will get their own table which will be 6 ft from the neighboring tables. Students will have their own set of supplies that will be sanitized before class. Students must wear masks, use the provided hand sanitizer, and abide by social distancing mandates.
