About the event
Perspective is one of the foundations of realism in art. Artists use perspective to create convincing representations of our three-dimensional world on the two-dimensional surfaces of their drawings. When perspective is used effectively, objects in a drawing appear to recede into the distance, and they seem to exist in three-dimensional space. In this 3-day class, students will learn about one-point, two-point, linear and aerial perspective. Students will spend the first two days focusing on drawing in one and two-point perspective and will spend day three learning about aerial and linear perspective in painting.
