About the event
The White Lake Light Station deserves some attention for its 150th Anniversary! Join MJ Ernst in sketching the lighthouse two ways. Class will start with a dramatic monochromatic sketch using soluble inks and then students will complete a second sketch using permanent fineliners and watercolors. All skill levels are welcome and all materials will be provided!
As class will be held outside, please bring water, sunscreen, and a bag chair!

About the Instructor:
Mary Jo (MJ) Ernst grew up in West Michigan and has been sketching her whole life. She uses all types of mediums in her artwork. Ink, especially solubles, is her preferred choice for quick sketching. Her sketch style is whimsical and impressionistic. MJ encourages anyone, all skill levels, to pick up a pen, pencil or brush to get started and make a mark!
