About the event
Learn to paint a portrait! This class will cover the basic anatomy and approaches to painting the facial features, as well as discussion and demonstrations on different approaches to mixing skin tones. Past painting experience is a plus, but the basics of painting with oil will be covered. Students of all levels are welcome!

About the Instructor:
Tatsuki Hakoyama is a Japanese artist who works with a broad range of content and mediums, including painting, drawing, and papermaking. He received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University, and his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Aside from exhibiting his work in various solo and group exhibitions, he is an Assistant Professor of Studio Arts at KCAD.
