About the event

Experiment with papermaking! Students will create a small paper using a traditional papermaking technique called esuki, where images are created using different colored pulp.

About the Instructor:

Tatsuki Hakoyama is a Japanese artist who works with a broad range of content and mediums, including painting, drawing, and papermaking. He received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University, and his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Aside from exhibiting his work in various solo and group exhibitions, he is an Assistant Professor of Studio Arts at KCAD.
