About the Facilitators:

Susan Wink has an extensive education background, teaching art to all ages in school and museum settings. A Michigan native, Susan lived in the high plains desert of Roswell, New Mexico for several years where she maintained a professional studio creating custom ceramic tile and designing and building community-based public art.

Erin Peyer grew up playing music and earned her Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy. Before moving to Michigan and pursuing a career in the nonprofit world, she ran a private piano studio in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Erin continues to play piano at home and is a member of the West Michigan Concert Winds where she plays euphonium.

COVID-19 Considerations:

Although the Open Studio is FREE, students ARE required to register due to COVID-19 social distancing mandates and capacity restrictions. We can host up to 6 students in each of the two Art Open Studio Slots: 2:00-3:30 and 3:30-5:00. Students can sign up for both slots or just one, and you don’t have to be here the entire time. We can only host 1 music student in each of the 4, 45-minute slots, unless students are already working together in a duo or trio. Music slots are 2:00-2:45, 2:45-3:30, 3:30-4:15, 4:15-5:00. The ACWL-Nuveen has a keyboard on sight, but students studying other instruments will need to bring those with them.

ACWL-Nuveen classes are supported in part by grants from the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Cheryl Whelan Family and the Nuveen Benevolent Trust.
