About the event

Students will complete a landscape painting with oil on canvas in a single session. This course will discuss the basics of color theory and atmospheric perspective to create paintings from photographs. The instructor will provide demonstrations and examples to help your way through the painting process.

About the Instructor:

Tatsuki Hakoyama is a Japanese artist who works with a broad range of content and mediums, including painting, drawing, and papermaking. He received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University, and his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Aside from exhibiting his work in various solo and group exhibitions, he is an Assistant Professor of Studio Arts at KCAD.
