About the event
We will carry little and sketch more! Using a limited palette of primary yellow, blue, and red, with white and orange added, students will learn basic color mixing and color theory. Fine line permanent markers will be used for preliminary line sketching to set up the composition. We are grateful for the chance to visit Stu Scholl's farm who will be giving a little history talk of the farm. All materials will be supplied.
Students under the age of 16 may attend if accompanied by an adult.
About the Instructor:
Mary Jo (MJ) Ernst grew up in West Michigan and has been sketching her whole life. She uses all types of mediums in her artwork. Ink, especially solubles, is her preferred choice for quick sketching. Her sketch style is whimsical and impressionistic. MJ encourages anyone, all skill levels, to pick up a pen, pencil or brush to get started and make a mark!
