About the event
This introductory class will explore the human figure as the subject. Students will use both gestural drawing and sight measuring process to learn how to observe poses and proportions from a live, clothed model. All skill levels are welcome!

Pay What you Can Pricing:
This class is supported by the ACWL-Nuveen Scholarship Fund. If you cannot afford the $50 class fee, you may still attend the class for $25. Â ACWL-Nuveen member discounts do not apply to scholarship prices.
About the Instructor:
Tatsuki Hakoyama is a Japanese artist who lives and works in Grand Rapids, MI. Although he works with a broad range of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, and papermaking, his passion is creating allegorical figurative paintings influenced by magical realist painters. Aside from exhibiting his work in various solo and juried group shows, he teaches as an adjunct faculty at Kendall College of Art & Design and Grand Rapids Community College.
