Intro to Abstract Painting

Led by artist Lester White, this class will introduce students to abstract painting. Attendees will learn how to paint spontaneously, expressing themselves through the use of primary colors and blended colors on canvas. The instructor will explain different styles and techniques of abstract painting and demonstrate the use of various brushes and tools to help students create something magical and personal. 

All materials, including acrylic paint, brushes, and a 18" x 24" canvas are included in the class fee.

About the Instructor:

Lester White is a Grand Rapids-based artist of Color working in multiple mediums with a special interest in still-life, portrait and abstract painting. He enjoys working with aspiring artists – teaching them how to create a successful portrait and making abstract painting approachable.
