About the event
Autumn is coming and you may notice small toadstools popping up all over the place! Celebrate the season in a two- day workshop while you make your own concrete mushroom sculptures to add to your garden or home. Students will be working with quick-set concrete and paint, so come dressed and ready to work with messy materials!
Class minimum: 4
Class maximum: 8
About the Instructor:
Since an early age Chelsea Kirksey has found art to be a lens through which to explore our relationships with the world, others, and ourselves. She holds a BFA in Art Education from Michigan State University and continues to teach community-based art in the Muskegon area. Her teaching is rooted in exploratory mindsets and encouraging her students to find their own artistic voice through the process
ACWL-Nuveen classes are supported in part by CatchMark Technologies, Michigan Arts & Culture Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nuveen Benevolent Trust.
