About the event

Do you want to learn how to draw a portrait? Do you want to improve upon the skills you already have? We are excited to present "Exploring the Portrait in Charcoal" a one-day workshop for all levels of artists who want to try their hand at portraiture. Michigan-based painter Matias Brimmer will be guiding an afternoon of charcoal drawing where students will learn tips on how to draw self-portraits from life and to learn tricks on rendering the face and head. If you would like an informal and fun atmosphere to practice mark-making, improve your draftsmanship or just be around other art-lovers, sign up today!

About the Instructor:

Matias Brimmer is a Michigan-based figure painter and multimedia artist. Matias has always had a passion for the visual arts, and has maintained an active studio practice for a decade as of this year.
