About the event
Get ready for spring by making your own unique clay flowerpot! This class is designed for children ages 6-10 to create alongside their favorite caregiving adult! Both the adult and child participants will learn how to use coil and pinch pot methods to build their own clay flowerpot. After construction, students will paint their pots with a colorful underglaze. The pots will be left to dry, then fired in a kiln. Once the fired pots are complete, students will be able to pick them up at the ACWL-Nuveen. All materials are provided.
Class minimum: 4 sets of two
Class maximum: 5 sets of two
A Note about the Class Fee
The cost to run a clay class is more than most ACWL-Nuveen classes due to the time and literal energy it takes to fire the kilns. However, if the $60 class fee is prohibitive, please reach out to nuveen@artswhitelake.org and we will do whatever we can to make this class accessible to you!
