Class Description
Ages 7-9 $15, $13.50 for ACWL Members Look closely at houseplants, then turn what you see into art. In this class, kids will sculpt clay leaves inspired by real plants, adding veins and textures with simple tools. Then they'll paint them and string them together to make a hanging mobile to take home. Minimum: 4 Maximum: 8 About the Instructor: Chelsea Kirksey holds a BFA in Art Education and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Art Therapy, combining her passion for art and wellness to inspire young learners. She is a multidisciplinary artist and educator who encourages students to explore creativity through mixed media, storytelling, and the artistic process. Please note - Registration for classes is required, unless otherwise noted. You may register online, by calling (231) 893-2524 or visiting the ACWL-Nuveen. Please enroll in classes at least 48 hours before the scheduled class time. Courses cancelled due to insufficient enrollment will be 100% refunded. You can cancel your registration up to 3 days in advance of the class date. If you withdraw from a class less than 3 days before the class, you will be given a class credit.
