Build a Ceramic Gnome

Want to work with ceramics but don't know a good place tostart? Hand-building is a fantastic way to learn the medium for ceramic art! In this class you will get to learn many fundamentals along the way to creating your gnome, including how to use clay slabs, molds, and other decorative techniques. 

Class fee includes instruction, multiple firings, glazes, and 4 lbs of clay per student. 

Students will need to pick up their finished pieces following a final glaze firing that will happen AFTER the final class. Students will be notified when their pieces are ready for pick up.

About the Instructor:

Like many great love stories, Kim’s love for ceramics began in high school. She loved the limitless dynamics of the art form, and it’s been her passion ever since. Recently,  she’s been apprenticing with Peter "The Potter" Johnson, the local master potter working at Terrestrial Forming in Whitehall. She’s now excited to begin her own journey creating and teaching pottery to other art lovers.
