A Note from the Director During the month of November, we are reminded to take a moment to reflect on what we're thankful for. On the surface, that could seem pretty difficult due to the challenges 2020 has thrown our way. However, when I look back at the year so far at the ACWL-Nuveen, we have been very fortunate. Our supporters and community members stepped up in a big way this summer. Countless people contributed a piece of art for our Quarantine Art Fundraiser, placed a bid for one of our Silent Basket Auction items, made a donation on Match Day, or renewed their membership (which you can now do on our website!). |

Our volunteers and board members helped brainstorm brand new fundraisers, embraced Zoom meetings, and have been a huge support to the ACWL-Nuveen staff. Our staff - Susan Wink and Stephanie Dalrymple. I am so thankful for these wonderful women. It is because of them that we have been able to provide a great experience for our artist members, design an easy-to-shop gallery space, create an inviting exhibition hall, and offer accessible arts programming to the White Lake area and beyond. Just keep scrolling through this newsletter to see all the examples of the amazing work that's been done in 2020. I hope you get a chance to visit us at the gallery this month - we still have some fun things in store for the rest of 2020! Come view our newest exhibition, Fall into the Arts: IMPACT 2020, shop for a handmade holiday gift, or partake in our Holiday Walk events, Ornament Take & Make or the Made in Michigan Market. We're here from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. I'd love the opportunity to say 'Thank You' in person! Thank you, Erin Peyer, ACWL-Nuveen Director |
