Summer – what a great time to get outside and capture the beauty and bounty of our West Michigan landscape! We encourage community members of all ages to share their outdoor impressions and participate in the ACWL-Nuveen’s third annual “Expressions – en plein air” exhibition August 5 – September 10. We schedule this show to coincide with the multiple outdoor themed art classes we offer for youth and adults during the month of July. The exhibit not only gives students and faculty from the ACWL-Nuveen summer classes an opportunity to showcase their talent, but it is also an open invitation to our community to display the creative ways they celebrate our natural environment. It is FREE for all participants to exhibit – our only stipulation is that the artwork entered in the show have been originated and partially produced outdoors.
We welcome artwork created using paint, drawing materials, fiber, clay, found beach stuff, and other mixed media. Have you been motivated to compose music, write poetry, or create a video? We would love to see what inspires you! And artists have a chance to win prizes! We will be awarding prizes in the following categories:

· People's Choice Runner-Up
· ACWL-Nuveen Award
· Youth Award
