Scott Rosema has been working as a professional illustrator since 1978. Throughout his storied career, he has worked with Marvel Comics, Disney, DC Comics, Archie Comics and more. Scott, a graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design, regularly appears at comic conventions where he sells his artwork and meets fellow super hero enthusiasts.
In this interview, Scott discusses how a Popeye comic book started him drawing, how Chicago Comic Con helped him land his first job in the comic book industry, and the piece of advice he would offer to any aspiring artist.
Rhythm & Power: The Art of Scott Rosema, sponsored by Eastbrook Homes, will be on display at the ACWL-Nuveen from February 2 through March 9, 2024. The show will feature the amazing super hero illustrations that Scott is known for and other examples from his personal studio work.
