About the event
Through multiple online sessions over Zoom, students will have the opportunity to create their own puppet characters using only felt and hot glue. Following the first class where students will brainstorm/sketch their puppets, they will then be invited to visit the ACWL-Nuveen to pick out felt and other decorations to make their puppet. We have a LOT of felt and fun fabrics! After our puppet friends are created, the class will work together to write a short play or multiple skits that include everyone's characters. At the end of our five sessions, students will have the opportunity to perform for friends, family and the general public over Zoom. We will also record the Zoom performance and post it on ACWL-Nuveen Social Media pages and website.
