About the event

Painting “en plein air” became popularized by French Impressionists who left the confines of their studios to paint “in the open air”. Painting outdoors encourages a fresh and spontaneous approach to capturing the natural scene. Learn the fundamentals of plein air painting with artist Lori Eslick - http://eslickart.com/. Students will be instructed on how to use watercolor paint to capture the views from the pavilion behind Montague Foods/on the Hart-Montague Bike Trail. This class is for beginning level students, but more advanced students are also welcomed! The class fee includes all materials.

The ACWL-Nuveen will be setting up portable tables and chairs in the pavilion and nearby shaded areas to accommodate 10 students within the proper social distancing guidelines. Be sure to wear sunscreen and bring a hat to keep the sun out of your eyes. You can park in the gravel parking lot near the pavilion. We may return to the ACWL-Nuveen to complete the paintings. In case of rain, you will receive a phone call the morning of the class to let you know we will meet at the ACWL-Nuveen instead of the pavilion.
