Plein Air Events 2020
This July we will be hosting multiple events focused on creating en Plein Air. Painting “en plein air” became popularized by French Impressionists who left the confines of their studios to paint “in the open air”. With these events, we are inviting you to CREATE en Plein Air, whether it be painting, composing, writing poetry or any other art form.
All Plein Air Events are generously sponsored by the R. Covell Radcliffe Fund of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County.

The ACWL-Nuveen invites artists of ALL ages to submit artwork for a community exhibition celebrating the beauty of our natural environment and the art of creating in the open air. For this exhibition we are interested in showcasing any art created outdoors, typically one thinks of painting but maybe you are creating sculpture, poetry, fiber art, beach debris collages, composing a piece of music. This exhibit coincides with the “plein air” themed art classes we are offering for youth and adults during the month of July.
